Ballet Magnificat presents Most Incredible Christmas
TCPA Season: Show #3 - Tuesday, November 28
Most Incredible Christmas is a Broadway-style contemporary ballet highlighting the most extraordinary and incredible thing about the Christmas season. Loveable traditions, songs that capture the spectacle of the season, and reflections on the first Christmas are set to heartwarming, familiar Christmas tunes from around the world. You will be uplifted by an evening of lively variety, including “Winter Wonderland,” “We Three Kings” and “Joy to the World” as you join the celebration!

Welcome to the 2023-2024 Season at the Townsend Center and the fifteenth edition of LiveArt, a premier event that showcases fabulous artists in a unique setting. For one night only, Friday, January 26th, the LiveArt 2024 Gala presents A Night in Old Havana starring Joachim Horsley and his Via Havana Ensemble with special guests.
LiveArt returns to the Townsend Center with a uniquely crafted show that combines the artistic talents of worldclass performers from across the US and the Caribbean Basin. Experience the authentic sights and sounds of Old Havana.

In their ever-expanding body of work, The Kruger Brothers personify the spirit of exploration and innovation that forms the core of the American musical tradition. Their original music is crafted around their discerning taste, and the result is unpretentious, cultivated, and delightfully fresh.

Since their formal introduction to American audiences in 1997, The Kruger Brothers’ remarkable discipline, creativity and their ability to infuse classical music into folk music has resulted in a unique sound that has made them a fixture within the world of acoustic music. The honesty of their writing has since become a hallmark of the trio’s work, Authentic, Acoustic, Americana.

LiveArt returns to the Townsend Center in January 2024 with a uniquely crafted show that combines the artistic talents of worldclass performers from across the US and the Caribbean Basin. Journey along with Joachim Horsley and special guests as they lead us back to the authentic sights and sounds of Old Havana.
The Great Dubois: Masters of Variety ~ Feb 13
TCPA Season: Show #8 - Tuesday, February 13
The Great DuBois’ variety show is a fast-paced, hilarious, designed for all ages, circus performance. They showcase incredible feats of juggling, hula hoops, unicycle, aerial silks and hoops, circus stunts, contortion, and audience interaction all wrapped in a blanket of comedy. The award-winning combination of Michael Dubois and Viktoria Grimmy have five generations of circus performing between them.
Featured in Hugh Jackman’s hit movie, “The Greatest Showman,” The Great DuBois have quite the list of credits. They include the Tony Award winning “Pippin” on Broadway, “The Tonight show with Jay Leno,” “Late Night with David Letterman,” and Britney Spears World Circus Tour, to name a few. Simply put, The Great DuBois is the most unique two-person circus show your family will ever see!

The one that you want is back! Take a trip to a simpler time of poodle skirts, drive-ins, and diners. This revised school edition is family-friendly and full of energy. You can expect iconic tunes from the original Broadway production such as “Summer Nights,” “Greased Lightnin'” and “We Go Together.” This production will also feature additional songs from the hit movie: “Hopelessly Devoted to You” and “You’re the One That I Want.”

Brought to life by a team of skilled performers and puppeteers, these puppets are so extraordinarily realistic you may feel the urge to run and hide – but don’t. You won’t want to miss a minute of this fun, unique, entertain and educational life show!
Rob Ickes & Trey Hensley ~ Saturday, June 22
TCPA Season: Show #11 - Saturday, June 22 at 7:30PM
Our season concludes with the 2nd Annual Michael P. Steed Roots Music Celebration starring Rob Ickes and Trey Hensley, a powerhouse acoustic duo that has electrified the acoustic music scene around the world. Ickes is a 15-time International Bluegrass Music Association Dobro Player of the Year and Hensley is a Tennessee-born guitar prodigy called “Nashville’s hottest young player” by Acoustic Guitar magazine. Known for their white-hot picking and world class musicianship, as well as their soulful stone country vocals, the GRAMMY® nominated duo cleverly and uniquely melds bluegrass, country, blues, rock, jamgrass, and string band music of all kinds to create a signature blend of music that defies restrictions of genre.
